How a D365 program runs at Valyra

A delivery rhythm tuned for ERP / CRM.

D365 programs fail in predictable ways: scope sprawl, weak data conversion, untested integrations, and an ALM model that collapses on hypercare. We push hard on each of these from week one.

Our typical engagement runs in 2–3 week sprints with a fortnightly Solution Review Board, dual-track design and build, and an environment strategy that keeps DEV, BUILD, TEST, UAT and PROD genuinely separated through Azure DevOps pipelines and LCS / Power Platform admin center.

  1. Fit-gap & design

Workshops by process area, fit-gap matrix, target operating model, integration register, and signed-off Solution Blueprint before configuration starts.

  2. Build & integrate

Sprint-based configuration, X++ / AL / plug-in extensions, integrations through Azure Service Bus, Logic Apps or Dataverse APIs. All code in Git, all releases through pipelines.

  3. Data conversion & CRP

At least three full data conversion cycles. Conference Room Pilots with real users on real data — not the consultants pretending to be users.

  4. UAT, cutover, hypercare

UAT scripts traceable to requirements, automated regression with RSAT or EasyRepro, signed-off cutover plan, and a 4–8 week hypercare period with measured ticket burn-down.

Frequently asked

Common questions, honestly answered.

A reasonable rule of thumb: under ~$50M revenue, single or low-double-digit entities, simple manufacturing? Business Central is almost always the right answer. Above that — global complexity, advanced manufacturing or warehouse, regulated industries, deep customization needs — FSCM earns its higher cost. We will not push you up-stack to inflate fees.
Business Central greenfield: 10–20 weeks. CE / CRM: 12–24 weeks per phase. FSCM: 9–18 months for a multi-module, multi-entity rollout. Anyone promising materially faster on FSCM without a heavy template is selling you something we wouldn't.
Yes — and we do this several times a year. We start with a 2-week health check producing a written triage report, then negotiate a remediation plan. We are equally happy stepping in mid-build or post go-live during an unstable hypercare.
Yes — application managed services for D365 environments, with tiered SLAs, dedicated functional & technical resources, monthly governance reviews, and quarterly roadmap planning. Most clients move from project to AMS without changing teams.
Through Azure DevOps pipelines integrated with Lifecycle Services for FSCM and Power Platform Pipelines / Solution Layering for CE and Business Central. Every release is traceable to a work item, peer-reviewed, and gated by automated tests. No manual deployments to production. Ever.
